Noncommercial online distribution is allowed only in unmodified (.zip) form as published here.
Commercial use and/or any distribution on any physical medium or device (disks, sd cards, cds, retro consoles, computers etc) is prohibited, exceptions require written permission from the author (Jarosław Wosik).

  • Two new main game modes accessible from the start menu - WARFARE - dynamic war simulation and GENERATED - fly procedurally generated missions.
  • MISSION OUTCOMES
    • Ability to eject. Ejection has calculated different outcomes: killed, captured by the enemy, ejection judged as unjustified, successfull - some new images illustrating ejection.
  • WORLD / BATTLEFIELD
    • Friendly AWACS when present provides full radar coverage in WARFARE game mode.
    • Enemy fighters upon detecting you fired missiles at them will try to do evasive maneuvers.
    • You can land to reload, refuel and get minor damages fixed.
    • Tanks can move and provide AAA cover at the same time.
  • HUD/COCKPIT/AVIONICS
    • Radar automatically locks on first available target.
    • When gear out and below 1000FT, a vertical line bar denoting vertical speed is shown on HUD.
    • Labeling on the in-flight map. Separate display of names and kinds. Active options are highlighted. Map can be moved with joystick. Friendly units are marked green.
    • When target enters weapon effective range marking on HUD changes from horizontal lines to rectangle.
    • Right MFD mode 2 TARGET TRACKING shows both direction and distance to target. Far distances are marked with M.
    • Drawing Sidewinder aiming diamond on HUD, Sidewinder lock sound.
    • Altitude WARNING message with sound when descending below 256ft.
    • AAA WARNING message with sound when entering effective range of enemy AAA unit.
    • Warning sounds when enemy missile launches detected (different for G2A and A2A).
    • Gear retraction/extension sound.
    • Chaff/flare release sound.
    • Change of RADAR modes ordering: NAV, A2A, A2G instead of NAV, A2G, A2A.
    • Change of A2A weapon ordering: Cannon, Amraam, Sidewinder instead of Cannon, Sidewinder, Amraaam.
    • Unguided rockets require greater precision for successfull hit.
    • Various adjustments to weapon ranges, speed and effectiveness.
  • SMALL IMPROVEMENTS AND ADJUSTMENTS
    • Runways are wider for easier landing.
    • Improved handling around angular poles.
    • Various improvements to the design of training missions.
    • Short radio noise before each new message.
    • Changed bass option for CMC music player.
    • Enemy SAM sites fire rate increased.
    • Extended gear at high speed in air does gradual damage instead instant destruction.
  • FIXES
    • Vblank fix on mission end (reported by Stefan D 2025-03-18).
    • Fixed damage penalty scoring (reported by Stefan D 2025-03-18).
    • Small fix in ground speed handling so no negative value is shown.
    • Fix to long range SAM site 3D rendering, shape simplified.
    • Better target distance/heading informtion refresh when target changes.
    • Wider range of visibility of CCIP bombing marker.
  • OPTIMIZATIONS
    • Many horizon and land drawing optimizations.

  • On HARD level of "WEAPON REALISM" (former name "WEAPONS STRENGTH") difficulty setting only targets that are within onboard radar forward detection cone (128 degrees ahead) can be locked on.
    Radar lock is lost when target moves outside of radar cone, message "LOCK LOST" is then displayed (see image gallery for 1.4.0).
    Map still displays all near enough targets that are around player's aircraft.
  • Trajectory of cannon rounds and unguided rockets is now affected by gravity so it is ballistic. The further you are from the target, the more correction you have to make when aiming.
  • Improved cannon hit detection, but cannon rounds now fly 3 times slower so you must aim much more ahead of moving enemy plane (new circular A2A HUD aiming marker can be used as a reference).
  • Changed "About" screen to specify distribution conditions and no commercial use without written permission (see image gallery for 1.4.0).
  • In A2A mode HUD aiming marker is now more circular than rectangular (see image gallery for 1.4.0).
  • Increased pitching moment during stall.
  • Improved campaign mission 1 for MED and HARD level of "ENEMY AMOUNT" difficulty setting - better placement of additional enemy fighter patroling area.
  • Initial radar zoom changed to 5 (longer range) instead of 3.
  • Significant performance optimizations:
    • Improved skipping drawing of objects outside viewport.
    • Loop unrolling to speedup screen clearing.
    • Screen synchronization waits only for completion of 3d part of view redraw instead of whole screen.
    • Simplifications in lift and speed calculation.
  • Switched to better compression algorithm of all images and music.
  • Changed mission outcome message from "YOU LANDED" to "YOU HAVE LANDED".
  • Changed difficulty setting name "WEAPONS STRENGTH" to "WEAPON REALISM".

  • Each mission now can have specific time of day and weather conditions: sunrise, midday, sunset, night and overcast.
    Conditions are also reflected on the arming screen.
    At night cockpit is higlighted in red.
  • Changed cockpit stylization/design
  • When landing gear is extended plane's roll rate is automatically decreased to make it easier to steer the plane to the desired heading.
