In-flight controls
Elevator / ailerons and weapon release are controlled using Joystick in Port 1.
Joystick fire button launches currently active weapon.
| Key | Meaning | Description |
|---|---|---|
| +/- or < > | Throttle | Use to increase / decrease engine power |
| A | Afterburner | Sets engine power to 140%, but greatly increases fuel consumption |
| B | Airbrakes | Increases drag thus rapidly reduces aircraft speed - watch out not to fly too slow, as below around 120 knots you may stall the aircraft |
| G | Gear up/down | After take off quickly rise gear as otherwise above around 300 knots plane will sustain damage from too high drag |
| J | Jettison current weapon or fuel pods in nav mode | Jettisoning payload reduces drag thus increasing effective aircraft range |
| H | HUD brightness | Can be used to adjust HUD visibility during different weather conditions |
| ,/. or 1/2 | Toggle left/right MFD | Each MFD (Multifunction Flight Displays) present different information |
| R | Change radar mode | Cycles between radar modes: air, ground, navigation |
| Z/X | Radar zoom in/out | Changes scale of onboard radar |
| T | Next target | Switch radar tracking to the next target of current radar mode type (air or ground) in radar range |
| W | Next weapon in given radar mode | Cycles air to air or air to ground onboard weapons depending on currently selected radar mode |
| F | Launch flare (anti A2A) | Temporarily disables homing of enemy Air to Air missiles fired at your aircraft |
| C | Launch chaff (anti G2A) | Temporarily disables homing of enemy Ground to Air missiles fired at your aircraft |

| Space | Clear or recall last message | Clear status message or recalls last presented message if hidden |
